Exciting things are coming your way this summer!
We’ve revamped our Summer Reading Clubs for all ages, and we can’t wait to get started! Our reading challenges for kids, teens, and adults can be downloaded here, or you can pick up a copy at any branch of RDPL beginning June 3.
And that’s not all!
Plans are in the works for Red Deer Public Library's very own Book Bike, a "Library on Wheels" that will come to YOU out in the community! We'll be popping up in city parks and at community events all around Red Deer to do programming, library card sign-ups, mobile lending of library materials, and more! Find out where we'll be popping up by checking out the Calendar below.
Children's Summer Reading Club Programs
We are looking for volunteers ages 12 and up to help out with our Summer Reading Club programs. If you are interested, call 403-346-4576 ext. 2000 and ask for Leah or Jenaya, the Summer Reading Club Coordinators, or pop by the Downtown Branch Children's Department for more information. Please note that a Criminal Record check is required to volunteer at Red Deer Public Library.
Thank you to our sponsors!
As always, the Summer Reading Club would not be possible without the generous support from our amazing sponsors! Thank you to The Friends of the Red Deer Public Library, Slasher Welding, NOVA Chemicals, Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Little Ice Cream & Soda Shoppe!
If you or your company are interseted in donating to the Summer Reading Club, contact the Children's department at 403-346-4576 ext. 2000.
