Teen Services

the mezz staffHey Teens - Red Deer Public Library has a space just for you!

The mezz is a place for teens, aged 12-17, to read, study, use the computer, meet up with friends, play games, get creative with our makerspace boxes, or just chat with Amy and Jessica - our Teen Services Librarian and Assistant.

Looking for a new book, a PS4 or xBox game, DVD or magazine?  Need to check your e-mail, print an assignment, or play your favourite online game?  We have computer stations reserved for teens.  Teen events take place on a weekly basis, year-round!

The best part?  Teen cards are FREE for everyone aged 12-17 (or 18 and still attending high school).  Under 18 Membership Agreement.

Teen Library Tours & Outreach Services

Book a tour for your teen club, group, middle or high school class, or homeschooled students in the downtown mezz teen space or at any of our branches.  Your tour can be customized to include general library services for teens, highlights of the library building, book readings, mini programs, research help, and more!

Can’t come to us?  We’ll come to you!  Consider inviting our Teen Department staff to your school, agency, or community group for a teen-specific library information session or fun outreach program.
Call the Teen Services Librarian at (403) 346-4576 or email atrepanier@rdpl.orgfor more information or to book a library tour or outreach visit.
