Upcoming Mezz Events: Manga in the mezz: Thursdays, May 8 and 22 from 4:00-5:30 in the Waskasoo Room. Discuss your favourite manga, watch anime, share your drawings and meet fellow manga addicts. Dancing with the librarians - Saturday May 10 from 1:00-5:00 pm in the Snell Auditorium. Show off your moves with an afternoon of Dance Dance Revolution, and see how the librarians can get down. SFX artist Jon Berezan showed us how to do some truly disgusting oozing cuts and scars with latex, kleenex, makeup and fake blood ... dinner, anyone? Or have you just lost your lunch? Teens made some gross scars of their own... TWOFLs unite! Do you want a say in what goes on in the mezz? It's beginning to look a lot like Grinchmas... The second annual duct-tape-arama in the mezz! Jen's Jittery Chocolate Factory on October was a day of sugary, Johnny Depp-y fun! Over 30 teens from Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer came to play Super Smash Brothers at the library on October 14: Congratulations to Stephen Dahl, winner of the grand prize draw for this year's Teen Summer Reading Program. Stephen won an Ipod that was generously donated by Lee's Specialties. Corporal Sandy Andrews led teens into the world of CSI forensics on August 17. Teens enjoyed Nasty Nachos, Sickening Stew and Chunky Chocolate Surprise at Fear Factor Cafe on August 3 ... congratulations to Christine and Alexander for winning the top prizes! You can be a superhero too - these teens made great costumes, learned how to fly, and saved the world all in an hour! Librarians can be superheroes too ... Jen appeared as Stargirl in the Westerner Parade. Tim Lasuita told teens a bit about comic book history and even showed them how to make one of their own.
