Her honour lois hole celebrates the birthday party of the season at Red Deer Public Library!
- joined by Red Deer’s finest performers, musicians and artists!

We’ve got two days of fabulous celebrations for the whole family in honour of the library's 90th birthday, and it’s all free!

SATURDAY, November 6:

2:00 p.m. : Speech by Her Honour Lois Hole
Welcoming remarks by our new Mayor, MLAs, and guests
(Snell Auditorium)
2:30 p.m. : Special children’s storytime with Lois Hole
3:00 p.m. : Wild and wonderful performance by Flyin’ Bob
3:30 p.m. : Birthday cake, tea, coffee, juice
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.:

From the excitement of hearing our warm and wonderful Lieutenant Governor to watching the highly skilled goofiness of world-class performer Flyin’ Bob, kids and grown-ups alike will love this day. And you’ll all want to be transformed by Mia’s magic as this face painter extraordinaire turns us into living works of art with her creations of tigers, butterflies, oriental calligraphy and more!

3:00 p.m.: It’s a Long Way: a commemoration in music and poetry of the beginning of World War I.

It’s a Long Way is a depiction of music and poetry prominent in the time of World War I. Anita Bhadresa, Paul Boultbee, Sharon Braun, Cheryl Cooney and Larry Reese take us on a world tour commemorating artistic pursuits during this tumultuous time in history.
