How to Find an Instructor

To find out who teaches arts programs in your area, one approach is to try contacting a Recreation and/or Culture Department in a community near you. Explain what type of instructor you're looking for and ask for an arts or culture or recreation programmer.

  • Lacombe (403) 782-6666
  • Ponoka (403) 783?4431
  • Red Deer (403) 309-8536
  • Stettler (403) 742-4411
  • Sylvan Lake (403) 887-2141
You may also want to contact the Extension Services or Continuing Education Department at the nearest college or university to ask for suggestions for instructors.

In Red Deer, you could try the Red Deer & District Allied Arts Council (309-3083) and the web page for the Cultural Charter Partners

An Alberta organization of artists, CARFAC Alberta may also be able to help you find an instructor.

An Alberta organization of performing arts professionals, XXX,  may also be able to help you.
