Take the bus to the Library - it's convenient and affordable.  Go to the Red Deer Transit page for more information.  Or ride your bike; we have bike racks outside all of our entrances.

Parking at the Dawe Branch, 56 Holt Street

Parking at the Dawe Branch is free and easy.  There are plentiful parking spots in front of the Dawe Centre.

Parking at the Downtown Branch, 4818-49 St.

NEW: The parkade over the Transit Terminal across 49 Street is now open.  Hourly parking is available at $1.00 per hour.  Enter off 49 Street (one-way going East), and pay at the station inside the Parkade. 

 

 

There are also outdoor pay lots close by, across 49 Street and 49 Avenue.  And there is two-hour metered parking ($1.00 per hour) on the streets adjacent to the Library: across 49 Street and on both sides of 48 Ave. and Ross Street.  Beware the very efficient Parking Commissionaires! But parking in the outdoor lots and meters is free after 5:00 p.m., and on weekends.

Parking in the lay-by immediately in front of the Library on 49 Street is for 10 minutes only.  There is also a handicapped space immediately in front of the 49 Street entrance.  This is for vehicles with officially-approved handicapped stickers only, and is strictly enforced by the City's commissionaires.
