First Thursday Concert: September 3, 2009

Mark your calendars: on the first Thursday of every month in 2009 we'll have free chamber music concerts in the Snell Auditorium over the lunch hour (12:15 to 1:00 p.m.)

Café Noir is a sponsor of the series: they'll be providing free coffee and tea for each event. Bring your lunch (or buy one at Café Noir) and get re-caffeinated while you acquire a little culture.

Our next concert on Thursday, September 3rd, will feature soprano Sharon Braun and pianist Cheryl Cooney.  Their program will range from Kurt Weill and Frederick Hollander songs made famous by Lotte Lenya and Marlene Dietrich to present day Cabaret music and Oscar Peterson piano arrangements.
