Libraries and the 2007 Provincial Budget

Two pieces of good news from yesterday's Provincial budget:
-
"Alberta’s tax credit for total annual charitable donations over $200 will increase to 21 per cent from 12.75 per cent. When combined with the federal charitable donations credit, Albertans will receive a 50 cent tax credit for every dollar donated over the $200 threshold." See our Support RDPL page to find out how you can make Red Deer a better community while keeping the Tax Man at bay. Now it's an even better deal.
-
New capital funds for municipalities specifically mention libraries: "$75 million for sustainable community infrastructure projects such as recreation facilities, libraries and arts facilities." This will come in handy in our community.
