In November 2004 the Red Deer
& District Museum will host two exhibits relating to the 90th Anniversary:

In honour of our 90th anniversary,
Red Deer Public Library presents a unique and whimsical exhibit examining
our past and our present, and offering some thoughts about our future.
This exhibit is on display in the Kiwanis Gallery, Lower Level, Downtown
Branch (outside the Snell Auditorium), from October 14 to December 31,
2004, and online, at this page: @
the library.

It's
a Long Way
On November 7th, 2004, at
3 p.m., come to the Snell Auditorium to experience It's
a Long Way: a commemoration in music & poetry of the
beginning of World War I. Performed by TogetherArt, It’s
a Long Way is a depiction of music and poetry prominent
at the time of WWI. Anita Bhadresa, Paul Boultbee, Sharon Braun, Cheryl
Cooney and Larry Reese take us on a world tour commemorating artistic
pursuits ninety years after the beginning of this tumultuous time in
history. This concert is free for all.

Literacy Day Celebration
Join us for a major celebration of
International Literacy Day on September 8, 2004, at the Kids' Club at
Red Deer Centre. The celebrations will include a display of the
90th Anniversary of Red Deer Public Library.
