Jim Watters

Candidate for Public School Trustee

Hello, my name is Jim Watters and I am seeking your support in my re-election for School Board Trustee – Red Deer Public

I have met with students, parents, staff and community members. I have taken time to talk to all of the stakeholders in our education system. I have listened to what has been said and have done my best to act upon it. I have fought hard to ensure lower class sizes in all grades so that our students are getting the best education possible. I have done my best to be visible in our system.

Every year for the last six years as a trustee, I have put away 20 days of vacation (including five days given to me by my employer, Atco Gas). This allows me the time I need to visit our schools and go into the classrooms to see the programs “hands on!”

All of us together, working together, helping our students learn today so that they can lead tomorrow.

Special thank you to my family; without their support I could not do the job that I have so much passion for! Special thank you to Atco Gas, who value the work that I do in the community.

On October 18, 2004, I am asking you to support me in my re-election for tustee, Red Deer Public.
