October 18, 2004 is Election Day in Red Deer.
Red Deer Public Library's Election Forum is the location - online and in the real world - where you can find information about the candidates for Mayor, City Council and School Board offices. Election Forum 2004 is on the web and also at both branches of Red Deer Public Library. September 21, 2004 Update Brochures: candidate brochures are available at two locations
It's up to the candidates to maintain a supply of brochures at each location. Candidates: once you've decided to post your information at RDPL's Election Forum website, all you need to do is to send us an email:
The email should contain the following information:
Please attach a picture in any of these formats: jpg, gif, bmp, tif. The picture will be posted on your candidate page at approximately 2" wide by 3" high. At any time before the election, you can send us an email (again, to electionforum@rdpl.org with the subject line "Change to Candidate Information") to update the information on the page. We promise to have your page updated within two business days. If you would rather, you can provide us the above information in hard-copy format. Please drop off this information, clearly marked "Candidate Information, 2004 Municipal Election" at the Administration Office at the Downtown Branch, 4818-49 St., or at the Circulation Desks of either the Downtown or Dawe Branches (56 Holt St.) In the period between the late August 2004 and October 18, 2004, we will be receiving email questions from people in Red Deer. Selected questions will be sent to each candidate for a particular office, all at the same time. One week after sending questions to candidates, we will post all the replies we receive. Please note the following disclaimer that will appear on every page of Election Forum:
If you have any queries about Election Forum, please email electionforum@rdpl.org.
