| HOW DO I GET ONE? To sign out a laptop computer from the Lion Plaza Branch Library, all you need is to be over 18 and have a valid Red Deer Public Library membership. The laptop includes Windows 98, OpenOffice software which is completely compatible with Microsoft Office, typing tutorials, dictionaries, a few games, virus protection, removable floppy/CD-ROM drives and a mouse, all stored in a laptop carrying case. These laptops are internet ready and all you need to do is set up your own internet account with the internet provider of your choice. Laptops are loaned for 2 months with a possible renewal if there is no one on a waiting list. |
WHAT IF I NEED HELP? One-on-one Computer Instruction: Whether you need help to set the computer up at home, want to create a website or research topics on the Internet, we provide computer training to suit your needs.
