WHAT IS ARTSPARKS?

artsparks is a way for persons with developmental disabilities to expand their creativity and their connections with artists and arts organizations in Red Deer.

We have hired community artists to work in a variety of venues and in a variety of ways with persons with developmental disabilities.

We believe that getting involved with the arts is an important way to experience wellness!

 

Fun Packs Field Testing

Library Fun-Packs, which include fun activities using the arts, are available to be signed out at Red Deer Public Library. Experience the arts at home, or wherever you like, at your own pace and convenience with easy-to-follow instructions. We would like individuals to try them out for us! Bring them home and report back to us. Feedback forms should be available in each Fun Pack, or you can download one here.

Artist Friends

CLOWNING/MIME AND MORE!!

Sometimes it's difficult to know whether you will enjoy something until you have tried it out in a safe place with supportive people. To help you to decide, we have organized the Artist Friends program. Individuals with developmental disabilities who would like to try out one of these literary/ performing arts activities can give us a call. You and a friend can work with an artist to learn about arts activities that interest you and that you might like to do more of in the future. Registration required.
